Where do I come from? What is the meaning of life? Where will I go after death?

The gospel is the greatest news in human history — God Himself has opened a way for us to come back to Him.

The Ultimate Questions of Life

Where do I come from?

You are not an accident. The God who made heaven and earth created you in His own image, giving you unique worth and eternal dignity. Your existence is not a meaningless coincidence, but flows from the Creator's good purpose.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”

1:27 / Genesis 1:27

What is the meaning of life?

The meaning of life is not found in achievement, wealth, or pleasure. Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever. Only when you return to the One who made you will your heart find true rest.

“Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.”

Where will I go after death?

Death is not the end. The Bible clearly tells us that everyone will face judgment before the Creator. This is not a question we can avoid — but the good news is that God has prepared a way for us.

“And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.”

The answers to all these questions point in one direction — the Gospel.

The Problem

The Bible tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Sin is not merely doing bad things — it is the broken relationship between us and the God who made us. We cannot repair this relationship on our own, nor can we meet God's standard of holiness.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

3:23 / Romans 3:23

But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.

The Solution

God so loved the world that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to become man. Jesus lived a perfectly sinless life, yet bore the punishment for our sins on the cross. On the third day He rose from the dead, triumphing over sin and death.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

5:8 / Romans 5:8

The Response

The gospel calls us to repent and trust in Jesus Christ. Repentance means acknowledging our sin and turning from our old way of life; faith means relying on Christ's redemption alone, not on our own efforts or good works. This salvation is entirely by God's grace — a free gift.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.

The Hope

Those who trust in Christ are declared righteous by God, reconciled to Him, and adopted as children of His family. The Holy Spirit dwells in believers, guiding us into new life. We have the assurance of eternal life — not because of how good we are, but because Christ has accomplished everything for us.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

8:1 / Romans 8:1
